The Clay & Clay mission is to practice the highest quality of dentistry in a warm, caring environment, and place the patient’s needs above all else.
After completing their postdoctoral programs, in 1986 Drs. Timothy and Rosemary Clay decided that Delaware would be their future home. While exploring the growing area of southern New Castle County and desiring to be located in an area that would benefit from their unique combination of services, our doctors found their current location. They were intrigued by the location and setting of the structure, which was operating as Stanton Full Gospel Church at that time. Extensive research uncovered the historical significance of the property.
The Quakers were deeded the land in 1753 in exchange for peppercorns, and a building was erected in 1873 as Stanton Friends Meeting. The building was subsequently used for many community purposes, including a square dancing hall, 4H Club, and the Stanton Grange.
In appreciation of the rich historical value of the property, the doctors decided to maintain as much of the original structure as possible, while creating a state-of-the-art dental facility.
Drs. Rosemary and Timothy Clay and Dr. Morgan Dorsey regularly receive numerous referrals for special-needs patients with mild-to-severe disabilities. Their expertise and extremely high level of skill allow parents and caregivers to take comfort in knowing their loved ones are being well taken care of while receiving the highest level of quality dentistry.
